For Community Groups
Save our Squirrels is looking to set up local groups in the Red Squirrel Reserves and their buffer zones.
The main aims of these groups are to:-
-
Raise awareness about red squirrels locally, encouraging concerted action from the whole community;
-
Monitoring and controlling grey squirrels, where necessary;
-
Assisting with red squirrel surveys in the Reserve;
-
Encouraging and enabling young people to get involved with red squirrel conservation;
-
Working with SoS staff to run events in the local area.
SoS staff will provide training and continued support for local groups.
If you are interested in being part of a local group, or finding out more then please do contact your nearest SoS office.
